TRAI says that this will reduce the monthly bill burden on television viewers. But consumers say that their TV bill is coming more than ever, which means TV viewing has become expensive.

Meanwhile, another bad news is coming for Free Dish, Tata Sky and other TV viewers. Indeed, according to new TV industry reports, the number of TV viewers in India is immersed in the beginning of the new TRAI tariff regime. The decrease in the number of viewers for major broadcasters is due to ongoing interruption in cable and broadcast ecosystem. According to a report run by Zee News based on CLSA, the number of viewers of the top five broadcasters who dominate the TV industry has come down from 78% on a scale of 90%.

Let us tell you that now every consumer has to recharge minimum of 153 under the new TRAI rule. Apart from this, customers have to spend more money with NCF, if they take new channels. Simultaneously, cable operators are getting only 20% of the profit from the profits. They are in losses. In this context, they have proposed TRAI ₹ 20-25 service charge. If TRAI approves this proposal, it may be more expensive for customers to watch TV.
